Maricela Mallory, Psy.D., MA
Dr. Mallory received both her Doctorate and Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology-Chicago; she minored in Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr. Mallory has been working with adult clients since 2000. In 2007 she expanded her focus to include couples and families as well as children and adolescents.
Dr. Mallory can also provide psychological testing to assist in identifying an accurate diagnosis and to generate recommendations for treatment. Test results and recommendations as well as therapy services can be provided in Spanish or English.
At the client’s request, Dr. Mallory has frequently cooperated with other professionals such as Physicians and school personnel in order to promote proper continuity of care.
The focus of Dr. Mallory’s research has been the meaning of marital sleep arrangements. This research included a review of literature that defines the effects of sleep quality on individual functioning as well as the role of culture in the creation of meaning. Her current research interests include the systemic use of cognitive testing to increase academic performance and the role of sleep quality on career performance.
